SK secure a strong opening matchup

SK dominate Torqued in cs_summit 2 opener

The Brazilians show their dominance over Torqued in two swift wins.

The opening game of cs_summit 2 was set to see the Brazilian heavyweights of SK face up against the Americans of Torqued. The maps the teams were set to face off on were Cobblestone, Inferno and Mirage.

The first half opened up with a strong SK CT-side, taking the first two rounds, but Torqued popped up with a surprise to win the third round forcebuy. SK quickly regained their composure, thanks to four kills from Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, and the lead followed. With the Brazilians constantly on top of the game, Torqued only managed two more rounds throughout the first half, with SK's CT side remaining dominant.

With SK 12-3 ahead, they began their T-side the exact same way as their CT. With SK immediately tapping match point, partially thanks to a monsterous performance from Marcelo "coldzera" David throughout the entire map. Torqued did manage to briefly hold the Brazilians at bay, but SK would end it quickly the round following, securing a 16-4 scoreline.

Inferno saw Torqued secure the pistol round on their T-side, but SK instantly answered back on a forcebuy to assert dominance on the game. From there SK picked up six rounds in a row, all in fairly dominant fashion with coldzera and Epitacio "TACO" de Melo taking pivotal roles in each round.

The remainder of the first half was Brazil-dominated, although Torqued did secure two further rounds in the first half. But another long run of unanswered rounds, with Fernando "fer" Alvarenga taking a starring role, saw SK secure another 12-3 lead.

The second half began with SK taking the opening round, with fer narrowly missing out on an ace in the second round. Torqued managed to secure the next round on a forcebuy, but SK once again instantly answered back to touch match point. With SK looking close to going over the edge, it was Matt "Pollo" Wilson and Keven "AZK" Lariviere who saved the round for Torqued to narrowly keep themselves in the game.

But SK weren't spending any more time in this game, fer once again pulled out a 4k to secure the game on the A-site take, securing the second map with a 16-5 win.
