ELEAGUE Major Boston New Legends stage fourth round matchups drawn

Three more teams will qualify and three more teams will leave the ELEAGUE Major Boston.

ELEAGUE drew the fourth round of matchups for the New Legends stage of the Boston Major following Gambit and Space Soldiers' close match, where Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev and co. narrowly managed to prevent a comeback from the Turkish team.

Today's games saw the first two teams confirmed for the New Champions stage of the Major. It began with G2's systemic dismantling of Quantum Bellator Fire, where the French team showed they were up for being favorites to take the tournament.

SK saw their dominant run against FaZe finally come to an end today as the European side went through as the second team with a perfect record. The Brazilians get another chance tomorrow with a draw against reigning champions Gambit.

After Cloud9's dominant victory over Virtus.pro, they're still alive to a final hope of qualifying. But they're given a difficult match, having to face off against the Danes of Astralis, who lost quite handedly to fnatic today. This result saw the Polish side's record of consecutive Major playoffs, stretching back to EMS One Katowice 2014, come to an end.

Liquid also saw the wheels start to fall off their train today, as they fell quite convincingly to Natus Vincere earlier today. They're set to face off against Vega Squadron in their 1-2 match.

The third round of games also saw crushing ends for another of the Legend status teams, as North fell to BIG as the German side keeps holding on for their road to the playoffs.

The fourth round of matchups for the New Legends stage at the ELEAGUE Boston Major are:

2-1 Pool

Quantum Bellator Fire  vs. mousesports
Gambit vs. Brazil SK
Sweden fnatic vs. Natus Vincere

1-2 Pool

Denmark Astralis  vs. United States Cloud9
Space Soldiers  vs. BIG
United States Liquid vs. Vega Squadron

The action resumes tomorrow at 10 AM EST.
