Detonate part ways with two

Detonate have shuffled their ranks as they look to put up a stronger showing in Season 49.

On March 20th, Detonate announced the departure of Jason "Enzo" Agaliotis and Tyson "FuuuZion" Acosta-Sanchez from their ranks, seeing the duo exit the team just shy of four months after the whole squad was promoted to serve as Detonate's main CS2 squad.

The exit of Enzo and FuuuZion comes after a mixed period for the team, with the squad finishing in second place at Fragadelphia x GXL 2024 but failing to make a splash in ESEA Advanced Season 48. In ESEA Advanced S48, the lineup posted a 5-9 record, enough to spare them from being relegated back down to ESEA Main, but far off from the nine wins needed to comfortably secure a spot in playoffs.

Alongside this period of mixed results, Detonate's owner, Levoski Brown, told Dust2.us that the team felt they'd hit their ceiling as a lineup and decided to part ways with Enzo and FuuuZion on a mutual basis to allow both sides to pursue new opportunities for Season 49. Brown also said that the team currently consists of the three remaining players from last season, however Tyler "Ravenzs" Kibec may step down to focus on finishing college this spring.

As such, for the moment Detonate are now:

  • United States Patrick "Tr1ck" Stanton

  • United States Jacob "GibbyATL" Gibby

  • United States Tyler "Ravenzs" Kibec

Detonate will look to return to full strength before ESEA Advanced Season 49 begins on April 4th.
