LAG swap one ahead of ECL debut

The young squad have brought in a more experienced name to help upgrade the squad.

LAG have announced the departure of Santiago "X-23" Alvarez after the 18-year-old spent just under two months with the team. In his place, the European-American roster have decided to bring in Nick "nicx" Lee to round out their team.

Despite spending just 53 days on the team, X-23 made sure to step up as he produced a 1.07 HLTV Rating, a 1.11 Impact Rating, 78.4 ADR, and a 73.8% KAST. While on the team, he helped achieve a top four-placement at Fragicago 2023 and a fifth-place finish at ESL Challenger League S46 Relegation, which helped the organization earn a promotion to ESL Challenger League Season 47.

When asked about the change, Bogdan "ogwizard" Savula told Dust2.us that it wasn't the in-game performance that prompted the change, saying "I think the team wanted to go to in a different direction, also we wanted some fresh energy and nicx provided that."

As for nicx, he will be coming into the team after attempting to rebuild the Bad News Bears roster that crumbled last season and ultimately fell to LAG in the relegation tournament.

LAG are now:

  • Bodgan "ogwizard" Savula

  • Deniz "experative" Mutlum

  • Luka "based" S.

  • United States Quinn "Nyyx" Knott

  • United States Nick "nicx" Lee

ESL Challenger League Season 47 is set to start on February 13th.
