While playing as a stand-in for Gen.G, SicK continues to earn himself bonus cash through FPL

FPL-[C] Recap - A SicK bonus for the winter season

A packed tournament schedule this past week saw relatively few matches played in FPL.

With a number of players at Fragadelphia 14 and ESEA MDL Global Challenge Season 32 this past weekend, the second week of FPL for December saw a dramatic decrease in the number of matches played. Hunter "SicK" Mims, who was not in attendance at either event, led the charge, topping the board by winning ten of the eleven matches he played.

The top twenty players for the first week of December are:

Aside from the players in the top ten, relatively few matches were played among those on the leaderboard. Much of the bottom end of the top twenty players had just a single match played, including Evil Geniuses' Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte and Tarik "tarik" Celik. Gen.G's most recent addition, Sam "s0m" Oh, also had a negative win record as he secured just nine of the twenty one matches he played, but the result still earned him a seventeenth place spot due to the lack of activity.

A trio of Riot Squad members in the form of Pujan "FNS" Mehta, Austin "crashies" Roberts, and Peter "ptr" Gurney also appeared on the leaderboard, with the Canadian in-game leader snagging a ninth place finish while ptr ended the week in tenth. The FPL warmup evidently kept the players sharp heading into Global Challenge, with the team managing to become the first from North America to make a grand final appearance at the event.

The second week of FPL-C for December saw Ryan "shanks" Ngo claim first place, winning eleven matches in a row to sit comfortably at the top of the board boasting more than a sixty point lead over his closest competitor.

The top ten players from the past week are as follows:

Rank Player Points Prize
1. Canada Ryan "shanks" Ngo 1,112 $1,250
2. United States Dominick "JazzPimp" Dimpfel 1,056 $600
3. United States David "Sneaky" Polster 1,050 $300
4. Canada Randy "Smiley" Sandoval 1,048 $200

9. United States Andy "devastation" Parr 1,030
10. United States Gabe "fENOM" Rocha 1,030

The full leaderboard can be seen here.

Dominick "JazzPimp" Dimpfel earned a second place finish as a result of winning twelve of the twenty matches he played, closely followed by David "Sneaky" Polster who trailed by just six points to finish in third. The lower end of the board was rounded out by Andy "devastation" Parr and Gabe "fENOM" Rocha, who played and won just three matches to put themselves among the top ten.

Meanwhile, the monthly leaderboard for FPL-C currently looks as follows:

Rank Player Points Prize
1. United States David "Sneaky" Polster 1,170 FPL
2. Canada Shawn "Magowi" O'Malley 1,130 FPL
3. United States Donovan "zNf" Froid 1,118
4. United States Amgalan "genghsta" Nemekhbayar 1,116
5. Canada Ryan "shanks" Ngo 1,096

The monthly leaderboard can be seen here.

Sneaky's second place finish in the first week of December, combined with his placement this time around, puts him in prime contention for a spot in FPL at the end of the month. Shawn "Magowi" O'Malley currently leads with 1,130 points for the second spot, but the remainder of the leaderboard is not far behind. With two more weeks of play to go, the top two spots still remain volatile, with players looking to earn themselves a nice bonus for the holiday season as the year draws to a close.
