Secret Club win ESEA Spring Cash Cup 5 over Third Impact
After runner-up finishes in ESEA Autumn Cash Cup 2 and ESEA Winter Cash Cup 3, Secret Club conquered their demons and emerged victorious in ESEA Spring Cash Cup 5 after a 2-0 victory over Third Impact in the grand final. Party Astronauts bested Veloz 2-0 in the third-place match to claim the final cash prize of the event.
The first semifinal felt like a slugfest that could have just as easily been a grand final matchup, with each map going a minimum of the full thirty rounds of regulation. Secret Club eventually reverse swept Party Astronauts, in spite of Jonathan "djay" Dallal's 75 kills in the series. Victor "v1c" T. was one of three Secret Club players to eclipse the 70-kill mark, leading his side with 74 frags in the series.

In the other semifinal Veloz were able to grind out a thirty-round win on Train, but managed just one second-half round in the latter two maps combined as Third Impact convincingly regained control of the series. Keanu "DaneJoris" Reyes led all players with 65 kills for Third Impact, while Veloz were led by Aidan "Aidan" Higgason who finished with 53 frags.

The second-half woes continued for Veloz with prize money on the line. They managed four rounds on Overpass, but were shut out 7-0 in their second half of Inferno as Party Astronauts comfortably secured a sweep. djay popped off for the Partynauts once again, this time racking up 55 kills in just two maps of play. Richie "sherps" Sherpa led the way for Veloz with 32 frags in their final series en route to a fourth-place finish.

Secret Club had to fight hard to wrestle away Third Impact's map pick of Inferno, but were eventually able to secure nine of the final eleven rounds to take a 1-0 series lead. They carried that momentum into Vertigo, where they opened the map with a flawless 15-0 T-sided effort. To Third Impact's credit they clawed almost halfway back into the match and rattled off seven rounds in a row to start their own T-side before Secret Club were able to secure the map, match, and lion's share of the $15,000 cash prize. Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield led Secret Club with 45 frags in the title bout, while Walker "walker" Harris led Third Impact with 38 kills in a losing effort.
