Triumph, New England Whalers invited to fourth ESEA Summer Cash Cup
The dates for the fourth iteration of ESEA's Summer Cash Cup have been announced, with the $4,000 tournament set to take place this coming weekend, from September 26-27.
As in previous tournaments, the registration and check-in period for teams will close at 1:55 PM EDT, with the open portion of the bracket commencing shortly afterwards. The top two teams will advance to the semifinals, where the invited sides of Triumph and New England Whalers will await.
Some notable names currently signed up to take part include the MDL rosters of ImPerium, Yeah, and Third Impact. Additionally, the Brazilian side of paiN are slated to compete, making their first appearance in a North American tournament after completing a move to the United States earlier this month.
The tournament would have overlapped with the second FPL Cash Cup, hosted by WINNERS League, but the FACEIT-based tournament organizer have worked together with ESEA in order to have their event kick off on Sunday, allowing for teams to participate in both cups.
