Mythic announce dates for first FPL Cup
Mythic have announced the date and sign-up link for their upcoming Mythic FPL Cup 1, the first event in FACEIT's recently announced bi-weekly tournament series that will offer promotion to FPL. A number of notable names are already signed up, including Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman's Triumph and RBG.
The tournament will boast a $4,000 prize pool, and will run from September 12-13. Matches will kick off at 2 PM EDT, and will utilize a single-elimination best-of-one bracket to determine the semifinalists.
The top four teams will face off on the second day of play, with the best-of-three semifinals kicking off at 3 PM EDT before a champion is crowned in the grand finals. The five players from the winning team will earn fifteen points towards the FPL leaderboard. An undetermined number of players at the top of the leaderboard at the end of a two-month period will earn spots in FPL and FPL-C.
