After making the leap to VALORANT in April, shinobi has finally found a new organization to call home

shinobi joins Cloud9's VALORANT roster

Cloud9 is starting to look a lot like a Bad News Bears reunion.

As first reported on May 14th by Dust2.us, Cloud9 have confirmed the addition of Josh "shinobi" Abastado to their VALORANT lineup.

The signing does not come as much of a surprise, as shinobi has been playing with Cloud9 since mid-June, notably helping the team to a second place finish at PAX Arena Invitational. Overall, shinobi’s signing to Cloud9 functions as a reunion for the lineup, as they all briefly played together under Bad News Bears during ECS Season 7.

As such, Cloud9’s VALORANT lineup currently consists of:

 • Canada Tyson "TenZ" Ngo
 • United States Skyler "Relyks" Weaver
 • United States Mitch "mitch" Semago
 • United States Josh "shinobi" Abastado

Cloud9 are now on the lookout for one more player to round out their lineup. At the time of publication, former Cloud9 CS:GO player Daniel "vice" Kim looks to be a likely candidate as he has been playing with Cloud9 since the start of July. This will also be a reunion between vice and shinobi, with the duo having played together for more than a year under eUnited, Enigma6, and Rogue.
