KOLER to focus on VALORANT; Way 2 French refill ranks with YuZ

The French Canadian youngster is set to make his MDL debut this week.

Way 2 French have been hit with another change as Yannick "KOLER" Blanchette has left the team and been replaced by Brandon "YuZ" Cyr.

KOLER told Dust2.us that, like a number of players in recent weeks, he has decided to focus on VALORANT. An announcement of his lineup in that game is expected sometime this week.

His replacement, YuZ, is a familiar face to multiple members of the lineup, having played with Francis "NANO" Tremblay and Maxime "YONJI" Grondin in Main last season on Original. Additionally, the player briefly worked with Michael "miLLe" St-Pierre on RUNnGUN before the two sides parted ways due to YuZ "not meeting the squad's expectations" at the time.

The addition of YuZ will put extra pressure on the fresh lineup as it leaves Mathieu "INCRED" Bergeron and miLLe as the only players with any MDL experience, with Season 33 being YuZ's first season of Advanced.

With this change, Way 2 French's new lineup is:

  • Canada Mathieu "INCRED" Bergeron
  • Canada Michael "miLLe" St-Pierre
  • Canada Francis "NANO" Tremblay
  • Canada Maxime "YONJI" Grondin
  • Canada Brandon "YuZ" Cyr

Way 2 French currently sit towards the bottom of the ESEA MDL Season 34 standings with a 1-3 record. The team have been given a small respite to work on their cohesiveness as they currently only have one match scheduled this week against Big Frames on May 13th at 9PM EDT.
