FPL Recap - steel steps up
The fifth week of FPL for August has come to an end, with the extra week also rounding out the final standings for the monthly leaderboard. A solid effort by Joshua "steel" Nissan saw the Canadian top the final week of the month, although the points he attained were not enough to move past Maxim "wippie" Shepelev on the monthly leaderboard.

To attain his first place position, steel played by far the highest number of matches this week with 38. A 61 percent winrate and a six-game winstreak to close out the week saw steel finish comfortably above his closest competition in the form of Collin "wrath" McSweegan, who sat 26 points below.
Things were not so clear-cut in the lower portions of the leaderboard as a points tie for eighth place saw Will "dazzLe" Loafman finish above Marian "tyfoon" Lesnic due to a higher winrate. Similarly, Skyler "Relyks" Weaver edged out a spot in the money over Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly thanks to winning six of the seven games he had played this week.

The final week saw Sam "s0m" Oh jump up by two positions, ending the month in third place. Stephen "reltuC" Cutler also slipped from fourth place to sixth as the week drew on, leaving him just on the brink of a top five spot. wippie remained cozily ahead in first place, topping the board over 100 points above steel.
