The road to challenge Astralis' crown starts now

StarLadder Major Americas qualification details released

The cycle resumes as teams place their eyes on Berlin.

With the Major cycle bearing down on us once again, StarLadder have announced the dates and details for their upcoming open qualifiers.

For North America, StarLadder are set to host four open qualifiers, all on the FACEIT platform, with the top two teams from each qualifying to the subregion's Closed Qualifier event. Each event will take place over two days, with the first commencing at 5:00 PM EDT and running until the round of 16 finishes. The second day will resume with the round of eight at 5:00 PM EDT and conclude with a best-of-three semifinal where the top two teams will be decided.

South America will see a similar structure, except this time with just two open qualifiers promoting the top four teams to the subregion's Closed Qualifier. As with North America, the qualifiers will take place over two days, with the first starting at 4:00 PM EDT (5:00 PM BRT) all the way up to the round of eight, with the second day seeing only the best-of-three quarterfinal played.

The dates and links for the open qualifiers are as follows:

Currently, the dates for the second and third North America qualifiers clash with DreamHack Masters Dallas, which could potentially hamper the re-qualification attempts of Cloud9, FURIA, and NRG — though all three teams will likely be invited directly to the Closed Qualifier. At the moment, Liquid, MIBR, Renegades and compLexity are the only teams based in North America to hold spots at the upcoming Major.

Details on the closed qualifiers, including format, potential invites and dates, are yet to be announced. Details on all qualifiers, and event dates, can be found on the Dust2.us Calendar.
