KSCERATO and yuurih were unstoppable as they tore through eUnited

FURIA outclass eUnited to qualify for DreamHack Masters Dallas

An undefeated run through the qualifier saw FURIA drop only one map on their road to Dallas.

FURIA have defeated eUnited in the grand finals of the DreamHack Masters Dallas Closed Qualifier, earning a berth to the $250,000 event set to play out from May 28th - June 2nd. They are joined by G2 and Windigo, who advanced from the European qualifier, and Isurus, who topped the South America qualifier.

Having already suffered an 0-2 loss to FURIA in the upper bracket finals yesterday, eUnited had to face off against Denial in the consolidation final at the start of the day. Denial's pick of Cache was first up, with the South Africans opening up by winning five of the first six rounds on their T side. eUnited stole away the lead by winning five rounds of their own, but Denial managed to keep the score close as the two sides traded blows at the end of the half for an 8-7 scoreline.

Denial pulled further ahead as three rounds at the start of the second half allowed for them to initially maintain control. Once eUnited's economy stabilized however, Victor "food" Wong and Kaleb "moose" Jayne began to tear through the South African side's defense. Just two additional rounds went the way of Denial before eUnited closed out the first map 16-13, moving the series on to their own map pick of Mirage.

A similar start on Mirage saw Denial work their way up to a 6-1 lead before eUnited began to answer back, with food and Anthony "vanity" Malaspina combining to take a trio of rounds for their side. Denial took one for their own, but found themselves immediately pushed back as eUnited won two more rounds before Denial snagged the final round of the half to once again edge out an 8-7 lead.

This time, eUnited gave Denial no chance to get rolling early on in the second half, immediately taking a trio of rounds before resetting Denial to add another three to the board. The two teams once again traded blows, but eUnited came out ahead to shut Denial out of the map 16-11 and take the series 2-0.

As they came from the upper bracket, FURIA began the best-of-five grand final with a one map advantage. eUnited had the first choice of map, taking the series to Nuke to start off. FURIA began the map on the CT side with a 2-0 lead, with eUnited managing to even the score with two rounds of their own. FURIA quickly went on to win six rounds in a row before eUnited finally got themselves back on the board, taking three rounds before FURIA closed out the half with a 10-5 lead.

The Brazilians immediately extended that lead with a five-round spree as they swapped over to their T side, with eUnited managing just one of their own before FURIA shut them out of the map 16-5.

FURIA's own map pick of Inferno saw even less contention from eUnited, with the Brazilians mustering 12 rounds on the T side before cruising to a 16-3 finish to win the series 3-0.

Having gone undefeated through the entire qualifier, FURIA have secured themselves a spot at DreamHack Masters Dallas alongside G2, Windigo, and Isurus. With three of the main qualifiers over, invites for the $250,000 event should begin to be announced over the coming weeks.

FURIA will take on oNe in their quarterfinal matchup for the ESEA MDL Season 30 playoffs on Tuesday at 6 PM EDT. Shortly after the conclusion of the playoffs, FURIA will make their way down to Brazil for DreamHack Open Rio, set to run from April 19-21, where a potential rematch against eUnited is on the cards.
