potter will not be CLG Red's fifth woman in China

UPDATE: potter to miss WESG due to visa issue; masq stands-in

Who stands-in for the stand-in?

Christine "potter" Chi has revealed that she will be unable to compete with CLG Red at the WESG 2018 World Finals due to visa issues.

The player-turned-analyst was standing-in for the squad due to the tournaments nationality rules, in the place of Canadian Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie, who will be in attendance at the event with the Those Damn Canadians mix.

The news comes as a big blow to the  female team, as they had looked to be the favorites coming into the tournament after their second place finish at Intel Challenge Katowice.

UPDATE: Diane "di^" Tran has announced that potter's replacement will be Brianna "masq" Becker, whose last official matches came as part of the WESG 2017 circuit with Freedom Fraggers.

Dust2.us have also learned that CLG Red coach Stephan "vEz" Vezina will not be making the trip with the team due to issues, so instead David "Toy" Han will be standing behind the team in Chongqing.

As such, CLG Red's roster for the event will be:

  • United States Diane "di^" Tran
  • United States Benita "bENITA" Novshadian
  • United States Jennifer "refinnej" Lee
  • United States Emma "emy" Choe
  • United States Brianna "masq" Becker
  • United States David "Toy" Han (Coach)

The team have been drawn into Group A alongside paiN, TYLOO, and Carnage.
