FPL-C September qualifier pushes five more up
Another month gone, another five FPL-C qualifier winners to move up. This past weekend 54 players duked it out to determine who would get their shot at FPL in FACEIT's Challenger division. The five individuals to top the qualifier include Denis "denya" Kosogov, Ezekiel "KmZ" Hughes, Oliver "figment" Thompson, "1henos" and "Dutchbag".
KmZ was the only advanced player to have won all of his matches finishing the qualifier 8/8. Despite the perfect record from KmZ, it was actually denya who finished at the top with 1,621 points total.
The lowest win rate player to squeeze through into Challenger would have been VulcuN who won nine of his 13 games, and his advancement was called into question on Twitter by MDL player Mike "real_bM" Desanto, suggesting that VulcuN stream sniped his way into the division.
This idea was later put to bed by virtue of the fact the player who he was tied on points with, as well as win percentage, Dutchbag, getting the FPL-C spot over him. This is curious, as FACEIT are adamant that the order displayed on their website takes into account such tiebreakers.
