ECS Season 5 Week 3 - NRG lose a map

ECS is looking top heavy as the season moves on...

The third week of the Esports Championship Series has concluded, with many matches taking place. NRG and Cloud9 rise to the top while compLexity and OpTic falter. Here we will look at the important matches from last week and also look into the future of next week.

SK fell to Cloud9 in Jake "Stewie2K" Yip's first games with the Brazilians and likewise Pujan "FNS" Mehta found success with the Americans. After defeating SK 2-0, NRG finally dropped a map in their ECS season, losing to Cloud9 8-16, leaving Damian "daps" Steele's men with a 13-1 record.

The rest of the week was fairly straightforward, however, notably, eUnited took a map off Cloud9 and Rogue went 2-0 over OpTic. OpTic have been having serious troubles online so far, and hold a 2-10 record in ECS. This week also saw the addition of former SK player Epitacio "TACO" de Melo to Liquid in place of Lucas "steel" Lopes.
