Lacerex, cole, Aceflyin and 7opheR have top spots in WPL Weekend Cup after Saturday

But Vanity and others are lurking, trying to steal their crowns.

Our first Weekend Cup is in full swing, with almost 100 players duking it out for a piece of the available $500 prize money up for grabs to the top players in each division. Due to our temporary closing of Division 3, the $75 from it's cup will be added to the Division 2 purse,  nearly doubling it to $200.

In the Division 1 Cup standings we see several familiar faces, as over half of the current point leaders are also in the top 10 of the league standings as well. Tied for first place are Lacerex and cole, ranked fifth and third respectively in WPL Division 1. A single win separates BishUP between his third place slot and the $300 prize.

Current point leaders for the Division 1 Weekend Cup are as follows:

Name Matches Wins Points
United States Lacerex 8 6 1,566
United States cole 8 6 1,566
United States Bishop "BishUP" Dawson 4 4 1,556

Aceflyin isn't messing around. He currently stands as the point leader not only for this Weekend Cup, but also the Division 2 league. Both 7opheR and citoak are a single win from stealing the throne as point leader away from Aceflyin. As was with the Division 1 cup, the Division 2 iteration has half of it's top ten placings filled with its league's leaders.

For the time being, we have closed down the Division 3 queue and merged it's playerbase with Division 2's to promote more concurrent matches and reduce queue times. Players currently enrolled in Division 3 need only join the Division 2 hub and play at least one match for their current points to be transferred over. Once we have a enough active users enrolled in Western Pro League we intend to re-open the division.

Those West Coast players that haven't signed up yet for Western Pro League, what are you waiting for? No one should have to settle for high-latency that might compromise their chances at qualifying for FPL-C or earning the free prizes we offer each month. Our league has access to Los Angeles, Denver, and Seattle servers that will give you the ping you deserve.

Signing-up for Western Pro League is easy and takes but minutes to get straight into the action. Follow the steps below to get started and be sure to join the Weekend Cup before it closes tonight at 12:00 AM PDT.
