SK ran through Cloud9, putting them up 2-0 at ESL One New York.

SK cleans up Cloud9, FaZe takes down Astralis

SK shattered the American's defense while FaZe stifled Astralis.

Cloud9 vs SK

Help was needed but never came for the Americans of Cloud9 as they started off their match on T-side Train against SK. FalleN and fer were firing on all cylinders as they tore through the C9 line-up round after round. The first round Cloud9 put on the board was a short-lived celebration as SK replied by resetting their economy and continued their assault until the half ended 13-2.

Unable to win the pistol round on their CT-side left little hope for the Americans. A glimmer came from Stewie2K when he succeeded in a 1v2 CZ clutch, shifting the momentum back to Cloud9 for a brief moment. The glory was short-lived as eventually SK finally got the remaining round they needed to end it 16-5.

FaZe vs Astralis

The two titans faced off on Mirage and it felt like shades of many of the other matches today at ESL One New York.  FaZe controlled the game all of the first half with dominant performances from NiKo and rain. FaZe's aggression was overbearing while Astralis' defense was weak, a perfect recipe for domination while on CT-side. The half ended 12-3.

Winning the pistol round was a good start to the second half for Astralis, setting the scene to string some rounds together and get out of their deficit. They proceeded to win the following round but again, tides shifted as FaZe claimed round 18 which led to their victory 16-6.
