Vitality send Imperial to 1-2 pool
After an incredible PGL Copenhagen Major Opening Stage, the Danish skies are getting clearer and clearer, as the Brazilian storm has dwindled. Imperial, even after an upset win over Virtus.pro to start the Elimination Stage, couldn't avoid going down into the 1-2 bracket, as they have fallen to Vitality, after losing to Spirit yesterday.
Imperial now have entered the do-or-die BO3 phase, as one more series loss will result in the Brazilians being eliminated from the Major.
The BO1 match between Imperial and Vitality took place on Overpass, a strong map for the Brazilians. Imperial started the map with a 3-1 lead before Vitality went on a four round spree to claim a 5-3 advantage. Prior to halftime, both teams won two more rounds which put Vitality 7-5 ahead going into the CT-side.
After the side switch, Imperial only got back on the board after the first gun round, as they lost the first two. Vitality reached match point before Lucas "decenty" Bacelar would win a crucial clutch round that guaranteed two following round wins for Imperial as Vitality were put in a tough economic situation. After recovering from a financial crisis, Vitality would win Overpass 13-9 and send Imperial down to the 1-2 bracket.
