M80 earn Local Hero IEM Dallas invite

M80 will be the second North American team to feature at IEM Dallas as they have earned the Local Hero invite.

The Local Hero invite is given out by ESL to the highest ranking team with a roster that has a majority of players from the country where the event is held. This was also used in 2023 to invite Evil Geniuses to the event.

M80 continue to find success for themselves on the international stage with IEM Dallas being their second IEM invite of the calendar year. The team recently competed at IEM Katowice 2024 but were hampered due to the sudden departure of IGL Marcus "maNkz" Kjeldsen who is stepping back to take care of his mental health.

Other teams invited to the event include Spirit, Falcons, G2, and Monte due to their current ranking in the ESL World Ranking as 2nd, 6th, 8th, and 9th, respectively.

Five world qualifiers remain to determine who will be able to attend the biggest American event in 2024. The North American qualifier begins on February 21st, where teams can sign up here.
