Official: Wildcard unveil roster

Welcome to the new team.

Wildcard have officially revealed their roster, which Dust2.us first reported. The new-look squad takes its core from the now decimated Forsaken roster, retains Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan, and has added former Extra Salter Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek who leaves Bad News Bears to play with the squad.

The move has come after Wildcard has completed a three-week bootcamp in Europe. The squad entered a number of European events and was reportedly blindsided by the news of their replacement. The move also comes as a surprise to many as the squads were comparably ranked in both HLTV and Dust2.us.

The former Forsaken, now Wildcard core, are already set to play in ESL Challenger League Season 47 while the former Wildcard roster have a spot in Season 46 and are poised to make playoffs. The former Wildcard roster also has a spot in the ESL Challenger Atlanta Closed Qualifier.

With the move, Wildcard now gains a much more experienced IGL in Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and rifler in Gage "Infinite" Green. The two have been veterans in the North American scene. Additionally, the organization is bringing on Matt "Warden" Dickens while also retaining João "horvy" Horvath as coaches.

The new Wildcard will consist of:

  • Canada Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz

  • United States Gage "Infinite" Green

  • United States Josh "JBa" Barutt

  • United States Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan

  • Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek
