stamina's second tenure with Nouns comes to a close after just over a month

stamina and Nouns part ways yet again

stamina's second bout with Nouns apparently was not meant to be.

In a surprising yet familiar turn of events, North American organization Nouns have announced the departure of IGL and AWPer Bobby "stamina" Eitrem. This move brings a close to stamina's brief second stint with the squad, totaling 42 days with the team since being signed in early July.

Nouns' decision to part ways with stamina may provide readers with a sense of déjà vu, as this very same situation played out earlier this year. stamina's first time linking up with the organization was in early December of last year, with that stint lasting just shy of two months before Nouns parted ways with the IGL. This period saw some notable missteps from the squad, including missing out on ESL Pro League Season 17 qualification to MIBR and failing to qualify for the closed qualifier for IEM Rio.

stamina's second venture with Nouns was preceded by the departure of IGL and AWPer David "cynic" Polster, who parted ways with Nouns in June, not long after the conclusion of IEM Dallas. During stamina's brief second tenure with Nouns, the squad most notably enjoyed a European bootcamp with former Liquid coach Eric "adreN" Hoag thanks to their victory in the ESEA Cash Cup Circuit Season 1 Finals. While in Europe, the squad finished 9-12th place in the CCT 2023 Online Finals 2, besting Brazilian side Sojoga and managing a close game versus Bad News Eagles. Closer to home, the squad fell short in the first domestic qualifier for the Thunderpick World Championship, falling to Wildcard in a tight semifinal series.

stamina's exit from the squad now presents Nouns with vacancies in the IGL and AWP departments that they will urgently need to fill. While the team does not have any matches scheduled in the league quite yet, the impending start of ESL Challenger League Season 46 presents a prominent deadline for the squad, but there are a number of other events of interest coming soon that the team will want to be shored up for. Such events include the second Thunderpick World Championship qualifier, scheduled for August 21st, the IEM Syndey Closed Qualifier, scheduled for August 24th, and the Ace North American Masters BLAST Premier Qualifier, set to begin September 7th.

Nouns are now:

  • United States Brendan "Bwills" Williams

  • United States Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly

  • United States Christopher "cJ" Jones

  • Mexico Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado

  • Canada Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen (Coach)

While Nouns will be on the lookout for a new fifth, stamina subsequently announced that he will be taking a few days to gather his thoughts before announcing his next move.

Frustrating to see unless cyn1c returns.
