Official: Complexity sign Liquid star

A massive reversal for the player who previously was headed to Evil Geniuses.

Earlier this morning, Dust2.us reported that Complexity were frontrunners for Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, beating out rivals Evil Geniuses. Thanks to Evil Geniuses switching their roster strategy away from a European-core at the last minute, EliGE decided to explore his options with the clock ticking down.

Now, after going back to the negotiating table with Complexity and hearing the options available at Evil Geniuses, the #4 Player in 2019 has elected to go forward with Complexity and will be part of the roster heading into the BLAST Premier Spring Groups.

This ends a surprising saga for the rifler, where the possibility of him leaving Liquid was first brought up only a few days ago. Three days ago, Dust2.us reported that the rifler was being replaced by Robert "Patsi" Isyanov and then later that day it was revealed Evil Geniuses were in hot pursuit.

At first, Complexity had initially inquired about EliGE's availability but were rebuffed, as Evil Geniuses were considered the primary option at the time. Evil Geniuses was planning a European-core featuring Audric "JACKZ" Jug and Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko alongside NAVI rifler Denis "electroNic" Sharipov. Ultimately, these potential signings by Evil Geniuses fell through, leading EliGE to reconsider Complexity's offer.

While rumors were circulating about EliGE's potential move to Complexity, it was initially unclear whose spot EliGE would be taking if the move came to fruition. With the just-announced benching of Justin "FaNg" Coakley, EliGE will now be taking the place left behind by the young Canadian.

With EliGE's signing, Complexity's roster is now:

  • Johnny "JT" Theodosiou

  • Ricky "floppy" Kemery

  • Michael "Grim" Wince

  • Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli

  • United States Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski

  • Justin "FaNg" Coakley (Inactive)

  • Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen (Coach)

Complexity's debut with EliGE will be in a matter of weeks, when the BLAST Premier Fall Groups kick off on July 13th following the conclusion of the player break.

Hopefully 1:1 to fang roles and I hope elige gets back into form, but I believe fang potential is up there just his floor is really low highs are also high. big change for elige the atmosphere is going to be so different from liquid in play styles and how vocal they are as well he isn't going to be the star player
