Another MDL team falls as season 27 draws to a close

No Tenemos Nada forfeit remaining MDL matches

With a mere two weeks left in the season, the Argentinian squad suffer another blow as they forfeit their last two MDL matches.

The Argentinian squad of No Tenemos Nada appear to have forfeited their final two MDL matches, which were to be played against Mythic and Etherian. Both matches have been marked as 16-0 losses on ESEA, with an ESEA admin mentioning their forfeit early yesterday.

When reached by Dust2.us, coach Rodrigo "pino" Manarino said the following:

We talked with ESEA MDL Admins and said that we couldn't fill a full roster, so we decided to give a step aside this season and focus in the south american leagues we are participating.

The news comes as the latest in a series of unfortunate events for the Argentinian players, beginning with Gale Force dropping the roster and leaving the team stranded in Argentina before the start of the ESEA season. A deal with Misfits fell through soon after, forcing the roster to play their matches from home with massive ping differences.

Most recently the team saw the depature of Guillermo "guishorro" Areco, who left the team shortly after the team's AWPer and in-game leader Jonathan "JonY BoY" Muñoz took his own leave.

Although JonY BoY has now found a new home, the NTN players are still in search of an organization to represent them. With their final two matches in ESEA's MDL now forfeited, their opportunities will be few and far between as they will face relegation, and are still playing from Argentina.

The forfeit wins are incredibly important for both Mythic and Etherian, as it moves both teams up in the standings as we lead into the playoffs. Etherian saw a boost from 9th to 6th, putting them into the top eight. Mythic's bump saw them move up a single spot, from 11th to 10th.

The NTN core will play under the tag of Mystical for now, fielding two new Argentinian players — Leonardo "yimi" Fuentes and 15-year-old Ignacio "meyern" Meyer. The team also appears to have parted ways with Roberto "reversive" Themtham, who had joined the squad to play alongside guishorro after JonY BoY's departure.

Mystical's roster is now as follows:

  • Matias "tutehen" Canale
  • Tomás "tomi" Guardia
  • Nahuel "Straka" Vazquez
  •  Leonardo "yimi" Fuentes
  •  Ignacio "meyern" Meyer
  • Rodrigo "pino" Manarino (Coach)

It is currently unknown whether they will continue to play with this roster from Argentina, or if the team has other plans in mind.

Expected tbh, they never had chance, even playing in NA. So arrogant players.
