ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals set for Dallas
ESL have announced that the Pro League finals are set to return to the Verizon Theatre in Dallas, Texas. The announcement states that ESL have expanded the competition to 16 teams and also hosting a $1,000,000 prize pool.
With the finals taking place over May 18-20th, with the Season 7 champion crowned on the last day of competition. The expansion to 16 teams is part of a move from ESL to standardize competition formats for 2018, as reported on in December.
The format will see three days of group stages before moving into the concert hall, where the teams will compete for the lion's share of the $1,000,000 prize pot. The quarterfinals are set to take place on the Friday, before the semifinals on Saturday and culmintaing with the grand finals on Sunday.
Tickets for the finals are set to go on sale on February 23rd at 11am EST. The entire event will be livestreamed on Facebook, set to be available in 1080p/60fps and also in VR.
