OpTic pull out of IEM Katowice 2018 NA Closed Qualifier
The decision from the US-based European side sees the Closed Qualifier drop to eight teams.
OpTic have withdrawn from the North American IEM Katowice 2018 Qualifier. With the qualifier taking place in less than a week, the organizers have decided to revert the tournament back to an eight team event.
Neither OpTic nor ESL have announced why the European team have withdrawn. The final participating team will be determined by the last match of the second open qualifier between compLexity and Rogue which is set to take place tonight at 7pm ET.
This sees the list of teams competing in the IEM Katowice 2018 Closed Qualifier become:
