RBG lose Wolffe following ESEA Premier Season 36 campaign

A third place finish in ESEA's top flight wasn't enough to keep Wolffe around.

Despite guaranteeing themselves a podium finish in the ESEA Premier Season 36 playoffs, RBG will be forced to make changes before the quick turnaround for Season 37 as Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield has decided to leave the team.

Jadan "HexT" Postma noted in a Twitter exchange with ESEA's Jackson "el_jack0" Wolf that "one of our guys is quitting", which Dust2.us later confirmed to be Wolffe.

Wolffe told Dust2.us that he felt like the team had stagnated, since they only really managed the occasional upset over the likes of Bad News Bears, Extra Salt, Triumph, or High Coast and were never really included in the conversation of legitimate contenders in ESEA Premier.

"Throughout the season everyone was talking about Bad News Bears, Extra Salt, High Coast, and Triumph. Never RBG. The reason being we never really won against any of those four heavy hitters."

Wolffe expressed a desire to explore his options to see if there was an opportunity beckoning that would allow him to challenge the four aforementioned "heavy hitters" while improving his game individually to get closer to attaining that goal.

RBG are now:

  • Canada Colby  "Walco" Walsh
  • Canada Jadan "HexT" Postma
  • United States Jerric "wiz" Jiang
  • United States Connor "chop" Sullivan
  • United States Troy "ara" Pollock (Coach)

As noted in the exchange between HexT and el_jack0, RBG won't have a lot of time to replace Wolffe since ESEA Premier Season 37 begins on May 4th.

Dust2 Birthday cake!
Man that sucks. And for what it's worth I always considered them a playoff team. It's hard to compete with the top 4.
