mitch and Relyks reunite in Cloud 9 VALORANT

Cloud9 VALORANT add mitch; Renegades sign Nurfed and Big Frames

Cloud9 are still taking their time and signing players one by one, while Renegades have announced their whole roster.

After a string of stand-in appearances, Cloud9 have unsurprisingly named Mitch "mitch" Semago the third member of their growing VALORANT roster.

mitch's CS:GO career included stints with eUnited, Splyce, Dignitas, Riot Squad, Bad News Bears, and a brief appearance under the FunPlus Phoenix banner in Flashpoint 1. mitch and Bad News Bears qualified for the ESEA MDL Season 33 Global Challenge prior to the COVID-19 outbreak this year with a 1st-2nd finish in MDL Season 33 alongside Triumph. Bad News Bears then elected to sit out for the Season 34 training season of ESEA MDL and subsequently disbanded on May 12th.

mitch and Cloud9 have already found some success in VALORANT's developing competitive scene, winning the Elite Esports - Rivalry Bowl following a semifinal win against the then Mousespaz roster that now represents TSM. mitch was also a part of the Cloud9 squads that finished second to TSM in Immortals First Light and were runner ups to Gen.G in the Pulse Invitational.

Cloud9's VALORANT squad has been most recently rounded out by other CS:GO alums Josh "shinobi" Abastado and Daniel "vice" Kim.

Cloud9 VALORANT are now:

  • Canada Tyson "TenZ" Ngo
  • United States Skyler "Relyks" Weaver
  • United States Mitch "mitch" Semago

Cloud9 are set to participate in the PAX Arena Invitational that begins next Wednesday, July 22nd.

Renegades will also be in attendance at the PAX Arena Invitational, sporting their new VALORANT roster, the old Big Frames squad featuring Jimmy "Nurfed" McFadden and Ryan "Winsum" Johns.

Nurfed was a long-standing member of the Big Frames CS:GO roster prior to making the switch to VALORANT, playing in ESEA MDL Season 32 and subbing in as recently as this past season.

Winsum played seven matches for Just Swing in ESEA MDL Season 32 and in ESEA MDL Season 32 Relegation, but failed to win a single map with the team. Stephen "Berghy" Bergh played in ESEA MDL Season 25 with Beacon, while Chuck "cp2" Proud made one MDL appearance with Prospects that same season.

Renegades VALORANT are now:

  • United States Jimmy "Nurfed" McFadden
  • United States Ryan "Winsum" Johns
  • United States Chuck "cp2" Proud
  • United States Stephen "Berghy" Bergh
  • Canada Devon "randyySavage" Bréard
