fRoD will pick up his mouse and keyboard once again to close out the season with Swole Identity

fRoD getting Swole in the server for the remainder of the MDL season

The 1.6 legend will fill the void in Swole Identity left by swag.

Earlier this week Braxton "swag" Pierce announced his retirement from competitive CS:GO in part to find a fresh start with Riot Game's upcoming game, Valorant. With his departure coming just days before ESEA MDL Season 33's roster lock, Dust2.us have learned that Danny "fRoD" Montaner will play the remainder of the season with Swole Identity.

fRoD has filled in for previous iterations of Swole Patrol and Lazarus in the past, most recently against INTZ in WINNERS League Season 3 and also against ATK in DreamHack Masters Malmö Closed Qualifier.

With fRoD stepping in, Swole Identity's roster for the remainder of the MDL season is now:

  • United States Jason "neptune" Tran
  • United States Jake "kaboose" McDonald
  • United States Sebastian "seb" Bucki
  • United States Skyler "Relyks" Weaver
  • United States Daniel "fRoD" Montaner

Swole Identity are currently 3-3 in ESEA MDL Season 33 and are scheduled to play this evening at 10PM EST against Oceanus.

Additionally, the team is set to compete in the upcoming ESL One Rio Americas Minor Closed Qualifier, which will begin on March 7th. Swole Identity will be fielding two stand-ins for the event, one in swag's place and the other for neptune, who will be participating in the event with Ze Pug Godz. Dust2.us have learned that those two stand-ins will be Will "dazzLe" Loafman and Stephen "reltuC" Cutler.
