TenZ is back for his ninth season of MDL

Asuna's Anime Aimers part ways with Recon 5; look to click heads with TenZ

The Cloud9 streamer has been allowed to play MDL with the team as long as they remain orgless.

With the start of ESEA MDL Season 33 hopefully approaching soon, the team formerly known as Recon 5 have completed their roster with Cloud9 streamer Tyson "TenZ" Ngo. However, as a result of him joining the team, the entire squad have parted ways with Recon 5 due to Cloud9 being unwilling to loan TenZ to another organization.

TenZ had been on the team's radar since January 12th, when they parted ways with Adam "freshie" Paterson and brought back Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk. At the time it was unknown if he would be able to join the team while also meeting the obligations of his streaming contract.

TenZ has been on Cloud9's bench since October 20th when he was replaced in favor of Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik. Since then, he has made a few stand-in appearances with Just For Fun, Rap Gang, and Riot Squad. Additionally, Cloud9 have transitioned him into a streamer role for the time being.

As a result, Asuna's Anime Aimers are now:

  • United States Eric "Kanpeki" Xu
  • Canada Wayne "castro" Einarsson
  • United States Norman "contii" Yeung
  • United States Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk
  • Canada Tyson "TenZ" Ngo (Loaned from Cloud9)

With their roster assembled, Asuna's Anime Aimers await the start of Season 33, which is reportedly set to begin sometime in the next two weeks.

UPDATE: Following the publication of this article, Dust2.us was informed that coach Addison "zecK" Gorzeck was retained by Recon 5, and is no longer tied to the above roster.
