TenZ will stay with Cloud9 for now

Cloud9 announce TenZ to remain as player and streamer

The news comes on the heels of mixwell announcing that he will be seeking other opportunities.

Cloud9 have announced that benched youngster Tyson "TenZ" Ngo will be sticking with the team as "a Pro Player & content creator."

The news comes a day after Spanish import Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas announced that he is looking to "redirect his career." Also of note is that fact that stand-in Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik has removed all mentions of Cloud9 from his Twitter profile.

Cloud9 are now thought to have:

  • Canada Tyson "TenZ" Ngo
  • United States James "JamezIRL" Macaulay  (Coach)
  • Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas (Inactive)

TenZ has been relatively quiet since his October benching, participating in the showmatch at the ECS Season 8 Finals, as well as the second IEM Katowice 2020 qualifier alongside Subroza with the Just For Fun mix. In the latter, the team's run came to an end at the hands of their former teammates in Gen.G.

More recently, the Canadian has been participating in the ESEA XMAS 5v5 Challenge with altersanimecrew, who currently sit in sixth place with a perfect 10-0 record.

As of the publishing of this article, parties mentioned have not responded to requests for comment from Dust2.us.

UPDATE: Subroza has confirmed to Dust2.us that he is not under contract with Cloud9.
