PwnAlone's run to the top saw the 28-year-old secure victories in 13 of the 18 games he played in, winning five in a row to close out the week and assure his spot at the top. Below him, the remaining players in the top ten had one of the closest battles for shares of the prize money, with the majority of them sitting within one point of each other by the time the leaderboards closed.

Perhaps more notable than the tight race in the top ten was a Twitter spat between Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk and Joshua "steel" Nissan, with the former player tweeting that "the worst part about playing FPL is probably playing with steel." The Canadian in-game leader issued a scathing reply, pointing towards cxzi making "constant bullshit excuses" when playing.

A number of players and community members also issued replies in support of steel, echoing similar sentiments and chastising cxzi for his poor approach and mentality. Although he issued a TwitLonger where he attempted to further explain his point of view, cxzi found himself removed from FPL on the final day of the week, with the player seemingly opting to take an early leave.
