Swisher leaves ex-Zone
Following his team's decision to forfeit their match against eUnited today in the third Mythic Cup, ex-Zone member Mike "Swisher" Schmid has announced that he has left the team.
ex-Zone turned heads after besting Party Astronauts in a close 2-1 series last night before deciding to give up their spot in the semi-finals today. Alexander "zander" Diaz claimed in a follow-up Tweet to our original story saying that his team did not see the point in playing eUnited due to having no strats of practice coming into the event.
Additionally, he said that he'd rather enjoy Father's Day, which begs the question of why the team would enter the event knowing they couldn't play if they made top four.
The team's decision to forfeit the semi-finals played a large part in Swisher's decision to leave the team, as he told Dust2.us. Swisher alleges that zander did not consult him or ask Tyler "tweiss" Weiss whether they wanted to play, a move Swisher said was the "final nail in the coffin" of a long period of disagreement with zander.
With Swisher no longer on the team, ex-Zone is now:
Joshua "Hunter" Madore- Alexander "zander" Diaz
- Noah "ULTRA" Giesbrecht
- Teric "Bibby" Ingram (Coach)
The departure of Swisher alongside the recent exit of Marian "tyfoon" Lesnic means that ex-Zone have been reduced to just three players. The team currently have no matches scheduled as they recently finished Season 31 of MDL with an 8-9 record.
