Envy trounce Singularity for final StarSeries playoff spot; bracket drawn
The group stage of the StarSeries i-League Season 7 North America qualifier has come to a close, and Envy are the final team to make it through.
It was a repeat of the upper bracket final from EPL Relegation, as Envy squared off against Singularity. Learning from their previous mistakes, Singularity removed Dust 2 after being decimated on it by their opponents on LAN. Unfortunately, things didn't wind up much better for them, as Stephen "reltuC" Cutler and Josh "jdm64" Marzano still had their way on Mirage.
Overpass was the reltuC show all over again, and despite an 8-7 opening half that narrowly went in Envy's favor, the Pro League side played lockdown defense, closing out the map and series with a flawless CT half.
The result marks a decided uptick in Envy's fortunes, as they have recently retained their Pro League spot, qualified for the IEM Katowice Americas Minor, and now press on in this event.
