ESEA Season 30 announced; no longer offers EPL promotion

A training season offering no promotion to EPL and no Global Challenge LAN will kick off the new year.

With the start of MDL Global Challenge Season 29 less than a week away, ESEA have announced the details for season 30 of the ESEA League, which will be a training season offering no promotion to MDL due to the season's overlap with the IEM Katowice Major cycle, despite the season originally being slated as a promotion season.

The season will also not feature a Global Challenge LAN due to the overlap, instead opting for an online grand finals akin to Season 28. Registration for all leagues will remain open until January 7th, with the league fee refund deadline closing just five days later on January 12th.

The moveups for the next season are set to be announced following the conclusion of both Global Challenge and MDL Relegation on December 17th. Before either of those two events play out however, the Advanced playoffs will come to an end on December 2nd, rewarding either iNTACT or FURIA with a spot in MDL Season 30.

While Advanced playoffs are wrapping up, the MDL Season 29 grand finals have yet to take place. Swole Patrol will take on cantwinalan on December 5th for a spot in ESL Pro League Season 8, with the loser of the matchup still having a chance to book a spot through EPL Relegation.

More information can be found in ESEA's official announcement postRegistration for Season 30 is also currently open on their website
