How hot will Liquid be coming off their Major run?

ESL One New York first round matchups and schedule

The Big Apple is hungry... or something.

ESL have revealed the first round matchups for their upcoming ESL One New York event, set to kick off on September 26th and running until September 30th. All teams in attendance, with the exception of NRG, will be travelling directly from the Major in London, leaving themselves a 3-day travel window.

The $250,000 event will see two groups of four clash in a best-of-three double elimination GSL bracket during the group stage before progressing to the Barclays Center for the playoffs. The event will culminate with a best-of-five grand final showdown, which will be preceded by the MSI MGA best-of-one grand final on stage.

With the Major coming to a close mere days before the start of New York, it seemed unlikely that any rosters would make changes so soon; however, the Swedish side of fnatic have already announced that they plan to field Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom in place of long-time member Robin "flusha" Rönnquist. The event is also likely to be Abay "Hobbit" Khasenov's final tournament with Gambit as the Kazakhstani player was listed for transfer earlier this week.

The first round matchups and complete schedule for ESL One New York, with times in EDT, is as follows:

Dust2 Birthday cake!
Oof, NA v NA first round. I'd be worried about an NA team losing in the elimination match but G2 is also in their group :^)
