Infinite won't be teamless for long

Infinite roster combinations for AZIO as ex-Dignitas lose one

Are AZIO building a roster or an army?

Mere days after being dropped by the Dignitas organization, the ex-Dignitas roster have lost the services of Gage "Infinite" Green, who appeared on the AZIO ESEA roster earlier today. Dust2.us knows that the team are currently considering Jack "xCeeD" Holiman and Jason "neptune" Tran as possible replacements, though the latter still has ties to Ghost.

Infinite has been a part of the ex-Dignitas roster since linking up with them in late May, where he filled the recently vacated slot of Daniel "roca" Gustaferri. Since then the roster has competed in a number of online qualifiers, usually falling short in the latter stages to deny them a chance at a LAN appearance.

Most notably, ex-Dignitas managed to make their way to the Americas Minor after slogging through a number of online matches. A 5-6th place finish with losses to Rogue and compLexity sent them home in the group stage, resulting in one of their few LAN appearances bearing no fruit.

Infinite's appearance on the AZIO roster likely signals yet another change for the team, who currently have 12 people on their ESEA roster including former member Dave "seziwana" Schrage, who will likely be needed for the first eight matches as William "shonk" Kittrell has now linked up with Fam143. Notably, Joshua "Hunter" Madore's league fees have yet to be paid while both seziwana and Infinite's fees have already been taken care of.

The Dignitas roster have struggled to stabilize after their failed foray in EPL S7, resulting in a rehaul of the roster after their return to MDL. Their new roster's run in Season 28 of MDL was impressive, dropping only a single map on their road to the playoffs after the addition of Infinite.

An early playoffs exit by the hands of eventual MDL champions Bravado caused immediate lineup changes in the team, seeing Anthony "gMd" Guimond and Tyson "TenZ" Ngo replace Michael "Grim" Wince and Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki during the off-season.  Most recently the team was seen trying out David "DAVEY" Stafford as in-game leader, only to later replace him with the team's former coach Josh "shinobi" Abastado.

The remainder of the ex-Dignitas roster is:

  • United States Mitch "m1tch" Semago
  • United States Peter "ptr" Gurney
  • Canada Anthony "gMd" Guimond
  • United States Josh "shinobi" Abastado

ex-Dignitas currently have no matchups lined up as they await the start of MDL Season 29, and are likely to continue competing in upcoming online qualifiers once a complete roster is formed.
