Infinite, mitch, and ptr are now left without an organization going into Season 29

Dignitas drop male CS:GO squad

The American organization is left without a CS:GO roster once again.

Dignitas have announced over social media that the organization has parted ways with its male CS:GO team.

Dignitas' roster has been in flux for the past month after the team were eliminated in the quarterfinals of MDL Season 28 by Bravado, who were the #8 seed. The team began to field stand-in's in wake of "internal differences," with the American squad trying out Tyson "TenZ" Ngo, Anthony "gMd" Guimond, and David "DAVEY" Stafford.

Dignitas originally acquired the former SoaR roster in February of this year, seeking to house a North American roster who were already in Pro League. Following the team's demotion from Pro League, Dignitas began massively overhauling its roster, with the most recent iteration bearing little resemblance to the original American lineup.

With the players now no longer under contract with Dignitas, it is likely that the American trio will officially add gMd to their roster. Dust2.us has also learned that Josh "shinobi" Abastado will be playing on the team's active roster in lieu of DAVEY.

ex-Dignitas' roster is now:

  • United States Mitch "mitch" Semago
  • United States Gage "Infinite" Green
  • United States Peter "ptr" Gurney
  • Canada Anthony "gMd" Guimond
  • United States Josh "shinobi" Abastado

The team are set to return in MDL Season 29, where they will attempt to make their way back into Pro League.

While Dignitas did drop their male CS:GO roster, the organization also announced that they are looking to stay in the scene and eventually sign another team. As a result, this change will not affect the organization's female squad.
