roca's short time with Dignitas has come to an end

Daniel "roca" Gustaferri is no longer part of Dignitas, Dust2.us has learned. The former eLevate and Echo Fox player had only just joined the team at the tail end of their ESL Pro League campaign at the beginning of April — a campaign which saw them automatically demoted back to ESEA MDL for the upcoming season.

In addition to the Pro League demotion, roca's tenure in Dignitas was also unfruitful in terms of the qualifiers that the team participated in. It is unknown where he will land or if he intends to continue playing.

Since the conclusion of the EPL season, Dignitas have been seen playing various qualifiers with both Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki and Ryan "Snakes" Amann. However, Snakes would not be a permanent option for the team until next season due to his age.

As for his replacement, Dust2.us have learned that Gage "Infinite" Green, currently of Armada, is the teams top target, with a team source calling his addition "pretty much a done deal". The 19-year-old is most known for his time on CLG Academy and Etherian, as well as his brief spell with Gorilla Gang during our very own Dust2.us Masters #2.

Should it come to fruition, this would be the second lineup change in the span of about a week for Armada, who just parted ways with Jack "xCeeD" Holiman.

Should the deal go through, Dignitas's roster would be:

  • us Logan "Voltage" Long
  • us Michael "Grim" Wince
  • us Mitch "mitch" Semago
  • ca Armeen "a2z" Toussi
  • us Gage "Infinite" Green
  • us Josh "shinobi" Abastado (Coach)
  • us Ryan "Snakes" Amann (Streamer)

However, Dust2.us knows that further changes are also under consideration by the team. With the start of the MDL season less than two weeks away, it is expected that the organization will announce their retooled roster in short order.

It's really about fucking time Infinite got some respect and acknowledgement. This is great for him. Even though he'll still be playing MDL, at least he'll have a salary and sponsors. Good luck Infinite!

(Here's to hoping dignitas also sign ben1337)
