Immortals remove kNgV-

The newest edition to the Immortals team has been removed from the squad following the events that took place at DreamHack Montreal on Sept. 10, the player has announced on Twitter.

The 22 year old sniper, who joined the team in May, turned heads with his amazing performance at the PGL Krakow Major in July. Since then, Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe had become the best player on Immortals in the opinions of some, and at DreamHack Open Montreal 10 days ago, he topped the charts.

On the final day of Montreal, it came to light through Director of CS:GO at DreamHack Marc "nix0n" Winther and Head Coach of CLG Steve "Ryu" Rattacasa on Twitter that kNgV-, Henrique "HEN1" Teles, and Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles were late to not only their semifinal match against Counter Logic Gaming, where they were granted additional time to get set up, but also to the final match against North, where despite again getting additional time, were not set up on time and were thus forced to forfeit map one of the final.

Following Immortals' quick loss inthe final, CLG player Pujan "FNS" Mehta put out a Tweet which prompted an extreme, now deleted response by kNgV-, creating the now meme "Prove it or I'll kill you."

kNgV- then continued to Tweet at FNS, claiming that FNS was lying about him and his team, and that he would never apologize for what he did:

Finally, reporter Jarek "DeKay" Lewis stated on Twitter than kNgV- walked through the players' hotel looking for FNS:

CEO of Immortals Noah Whinston responded initially on Twitter saying that the situation would be addressed internally, and consequences would be doled out as needed.

Today, nine days after the events of the 10th, kNgV- announced on Twitter that he would no longer be a part of the Immortals team, thanking his fans for the support.

After this change, the full lineup of Immortals can be seen here, with a fifth player likely to be announced soon:

  • Brazil HEN1
  • Brazil LUCAS1
  • Brazil boltz
  • Brazil steel
  • Brazil zakk (Coach)
