Gorilla Gang are your Dust2.us Masters #2 champions!

Gorillas Gang up on Swole Patrol to win Dust2.us Masters #2 powered by CSGOPositive.com

The Mask Off/Etherian mix conquered our second Masters event to claim $1,500.

Gorilla Gang have claimed the second Dust2.us Masters title by taking down Swole Patrol 2-1 in the grand finals. Their road to $1,500 also saw them defeat Dignitas and Ghost in series play, with the yesterday's victory over Ghost granting them a spot in the semifinals.

The Mask Off/Etherian mix began their day 2 run by securing a 2-1 win over Dignitas, with the first map going the way of Matthew "mCe" Elmore & co. From there, Gorilla Gang were able to fight back on Mirage and Cache to claim a spot in the grand finals, thanks in part to their players capitalizing off of the ESL Pro League team's mistakes.

The other side of the bracket saw Swole Patrol fight their way past Torqued, with Austin "Cooper" Abadir helping lead his team to a 2-0 victory. A tense first map on Mirage gave way to a dominant victory on Cache for Swole Patrol, allowing them to join Gorilla Gang in the grand finals.

The grand finals themselves kicked off on Cache, where an intense back-and-forth saw Gorilla Gang secure victory after three overtimes. A countless number of individual plays made the match exciting to watch, with Ben "ben1337" Smith's one-on-four clutch being the most noteworthy clip of the night.

From there the series moved on to Overpass, where Swole Patrol seemed to recover with a 12-3 first half. Although it seemed like Gorilla Gang could mount a comeback, Swole Patrol shut down their opposition after five rounds went their way to take us to Nuke.

It seemed like a strange choice from Gorilla Gang to leave Nuke on the table, considering they were a mix-team playing against Swole Patrol's more solidified core. Their quickly showed that their decision was sound by repeating Swole Patrol's first half score from the previous map, closing out the match 16-4 to claim $1,500 and become our new Masters champions!
