ESL announce Pro League Finals slot distribution
Season 7 of the ESL Pro League came with a smaller North American division and a 16-team finals at the Verizon Theatre in Dallas, Texas. Not too long after that, ESL announced a new Asia Pacific region for the league, set to fill up some of the new spaces.
Now the distribution of teams set for the finals have been confirmed. North America will retain the same amount of attendees for the upcoming event, at six, with Europe gaining another. Asia Pacific will take two spots, with a final 'wildcard' slot set to be announced.
With the finals scheduled for May 14th-20th, the final spot announcement should be set for the coming months. The ESL Pro League continues tonight, with OpTic taking on Cloud9 as the opening fixture.
