SK and Those Damn Canadians top WESG North America Regionals
The final day of the WESG North American Finals have concluded, with SK taking down Cloud9 in the final to grab that extra $10,000 and better seeding at the World Finals in March. The series was a three mapper, with Cloud9 winning Overpass while SK took Train and Inferno. Marcelo "coldzera" David was by far the best player for the series, top fragging on every map and putting up a huge 1.46 rating.
The third place decider match was supposed to take place as well, but due to playing in the ECS Season 5 Open Qualifier, Swole Patrol forfeited their game against FRENCH CANADIANS. This means that the Canadian mix team will take an extra $2,500 away from this event than the American side.

Over on the female side, Those Damn Canadians, featuring Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie, Stephanie "missharvey" Harvey, and Amanda "rain" Smith took down CLG Red 2-0 on Overpass and Inferno in the final. The mix team's victory over the only full line-up in the event would have been unexpected before it began, but was foreshadowed by their group stage clash.
