aris is looking to join a Premier-level squad following his departure from X13

aris and Jonesy step down from X13

Unable to qualify for the ESL Challenger League, X13 is undergoing a shuffle.

Following a fourth-place finish in ESEA Premier Season 39 Relegation, Paul "aris" Wilson and Marshall "Jonesy" Jones have opted to move on from X13 going into the next season.

These moves mark the end of aris' four-month tenure with the team, and Jonesy's two-month tenure after the former was brought in to replace Dalton "doltn" Ehlers. Jonesy has stated on Twitter that this will be the end of competitive Counter-Strike for him, whereas aris on his own Twitter has expressed his desire to continue playing into the next season, ideally in a Premier-level team.

While the future of X13 initially looked cloudy following the announcement of the departures of the two players, Max "Makzwell" Sparrey has clarified that he and the remaining two players, Matthew "scar" Bruni and Brennan "Lemonz" Lentz, will be looking to rebuild the squad going into the next season.

The core of X13 looking to rebuild are:

  • United States Max "Makzwell" Sparrey
  • Canada Matthew "scar" Bruni
  • United States Brennan "Lemonz" Lentz

The X13 core will be looking to assemble a squad before ESEA Advanced Season 40 kicks off on January 31st, 2022.
