Big Chillin set to finish season with Melloh, dvl, Munk

Due to a mix of poor results and unfortunate circumstances, Big Chillin will finish the season with some old friends.

Eric "Ryze" Brown has stepped down from Big Chillin, marking the latest departure from the embattled lineup. In his place, Michael "Munk" Klotz has returned to the team while Brendan "Melloh" Mello and Matt "dvl" Buechel will help the squad finish the season.

Ryze told Dust2.us that he made the decision to step down from Big Chillin to focus on his mental health. His departure comes as another heavy blow as he was Big Chillin's second highest rated player behind Nicholas "hate" Young, with Ryze posting a 0.82 rating over six maps in ESEA Premier Season 39.

The "new" additions to the team are no strangers to Big Chillin, as they were all part of Big Chillin's ESEA Premier Season 38 roster at some point. Devin "Xzen" Barber told Dust2.us that Munk has returned to take over leadership of the team while Melloh and dvl are stand-ins at this point. Should Big Chillin survive Season 39, the team will be rebuilt around Xzen and Munk.

Of course, that's easier said than done, as Big Chillin currently sit at the bottom of group A with a 1-4 record. To have any chance of avoiding direct relegation, they must start by beating Eros and then hope ChocoCheck and Eros win no more matches for the remainder of the season.

Big Chillin will finish the season with:

  • United States Devin "Xzen" Barber
  • United States Nicholas "hate" Young
  • United States Michael "Munk" Klotz
  • United States Brendan "Melloh" Mello (Stand-in)
  • United States Matt "dvl" Buechel (Stand-in)
  • United States William "Aphotic" DeVoe (Coach)

Big Chillin's next match will be against Eros on December 1st at 8PM EST.
