PLAYER1 takes break from competitive CS:GO

The former FRENCH CANADIANS player is stepping down to focus on finishing university.

Former FRENCH CANADIANS player Kevin "PLAYER1" Champagne has announced he's set to take a break from competitive CS:GO to focus on finishing his university degree.

During his time on FRENCH CANADIANS, and District 7 before that, the team competed in a number of events, including a second place finish in ESEA S25 Premier, which led to a 7-8th place finish at the following Global Challenge. The team has also had it's difficulties, most recently where they were unable to compete in the Americas Minor due to visa problems with REOVA.

In a statement on TwitLonger, he reveals the reason why as well as offering thanks to the players he competed alongside. As per his twitter and information Dust2.us has learned, PLAYER1 had previously contemplated switching to play Quake competitively.

This would mark the end of the FRENCH CANADIANS team, after gMd and Subroza looking for a move after facing an upset in MDL and REOVA recently joining LFAO
