Sharkie leaves GGPR

Despite a successful season, GGPR seem set to return to the drawing board.

Brandon "Sharkie" Ly has announced his departure from GGPR, ending his two-month tenure with the team.

GGPR was Sharkie's most successful team to date, with GGPR claiming a 7th-8th playoff finish in ESEA Premier Season 37 after a 5-3 regular season while Sharkie posted a 0.94 rating. Despite this, Sharkie told Dust2.us that he decided to leave GGPR due to "the team environment" although he also "loves them". When asked to expand on this, Sharkie declined further comment.

Dust2.us also reached out to Chase "lowrider" Releford and Jordan "Kingkiller" Rogers for comment, but they did not respond by the time of publication.

With Sharkie leaving the team, GGPR are now:

  • United States Chase "lowrider" Releford
  • Canada Sean "Inseaniac" Morrison
  • Canada Brody "BeaKie" Kelly
  • United States Jesse "Jmp" Peraino (Stand-in)
  • United States Aurele "quick" Hebert (Coach)
  • United States Erich "ninja" Beyer (Assistant Coach)

GGPR will need to find a new fifth before the start of ESEA Premier Season 38 on August 17th. The team will also likely be replacing Jesse "Jmp" Peraino as the stand-in was notably sidelined during ESEA Premier Season 37 playoffs in favor of the team's coach Aurele "quick" Hebert.
