oNe win rematch with Extra Salt to claim ESEA Premier crown
oNe capitalized on their upper bracket advantage and emphatically closed out the grand final of ESEA Premier Season 37 on Inferno to claim the $20,000 prize, 80 ESL Pro Tour points, and a spot in ESL Pro League Season 14. They will be joined at the aforementioned event by Bad News Bears, the victors of ESEA Premier Season 36.
As previously mentioned, oNe enjoyed a 1-0 default lead after besting Extra Salt in the upper bracket final earlier last Thursday and it didn't take long for the Brazilians to stretch that series lead to 2-0. oNe quickly pushed a 9-6 halftime lead from their attacking side to a 15-9 advantage on defense, then converted their fifth map point to take a 2-0 series lead. Matheus "pesadelo" Panisset led all players with 27 kills in the opening map, while Josh "oSee" Ohm topped the scoreboard for Extra Salt with 25 frags.
As the series shifted to Ancient, pesadelo and oSee continued to do the heavy lifting for their respective sides, but this time it was Extra Salt who jumped out to an early lead on T-side and closed the map at their leisure. Each side's top fragger finished with 28 kills as Extra Salt drew back within a map of their South American adversaries.
But that was as close as Extra Salt would get. This time it was Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa who lit up the killfeed with 24 frags in 24 rounds for oNe, as Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek tried to keep pace with the Guatemalan but mustered just 17 kills for Extra Salt. Once again, the strong T-side was the determining factor in the series as oNe doubled up Extra Salt to claim a 3-1 victory and everything that came with it.

Since the grand final transpired on Sunday evening, Recon 5 defeated Mythic 2-1 in the 11-12th place match to secure an automatic bid to ESEA Premier Season 38, while Mythic will now have to participate in ESEA Premier Season 37 Relegation to win back their spot in Premier. Josiah "JoJo" Jimenez led all players with 72 kills in the series loss.
