Welcome back for now Infinite

Infinite set to stand-in for Recon 5

The NRG player has returned to help his former teammates finish the season.

Dust2.us has confirmed with Gage "Infinite" Green that he will be helping Recon 5 finish the season as a stand-in. His temporary return to CS:GO is a result of David "cynic" Polster being called to trial on Triumph and Recon 5 only having one roster addition left while Infinite was already riding their roster.

Infinite retired from CS:GO for a second time on December 26th after being signed to NRG's VALORANT lineup. During his tenure with the organization thus far the team helmed by Damian "daps" Steele won Nerd Street Gamer's December Monthly, but otherwise have seen mixed results. NRG recently acquired former CS:GO player Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor from Andbox, suggesting changes may be coming to the lineup.

Although Infinite hasn't played any officials since November, he was one of North America's top rated played in 2020, putting up a 1.15 rating over 164 maps.

Recon 5 for the moment is:

  • United States Koby "kobruh" Higgs
  • United States Dominick "JazzPimp" Dimpfel
  • United States Tyler "tweiss" Weiss
  • United States Austin "AAustiN" Urb
  • United States Gage "Infinite" Green (Stand-in)

In Infinite's debut with the team last night, Recon 5 secured a 2-1 victory over  Secret Club's new lineup. They now have a 3-1 record in ESEA Premier Season 36.
