ImPerium release seziwana and Ryze

After a less than impressive start to the season, ImPerium are one of many teams to make changes this week.

ImPerium have released Dave "seziwana" Schrage and Eric "Ryze" Brown. The changes to the recently signed lineup come after a 0-2 start to ESEA Premier Season 36. This will be the second rebuild for the team after GSG9 parted ways with Devin "Xzen" Barber, Jake  "Decko" Muse, and Ryan "ROBBY1" Robshaw in the pre-season.

ImPerium's manager, Noot, told Dust2.us that the organization decided to release the duo as they wanted players who could bring more firepower to the lineup and fit their overall playstyle better. When reached out to for comment, Ryze said that being cut came as a surprise and his former teammates told him they wanted a more experienced AWPer to take his place.

Over the course of six maps with ImPerium, the duo both posted  0.93 ratings although this does not paint the full picture as their performances were highly inconsistent. Ryze's best game with the team saw him post a 1.38 rating in a 16-9 loss to Rebirth while his worst game garnered a 0.41 rating in a 16-3 loss to Recon 5.

As for seziwana, he posted a 1.40 rating in a 16-7 win against Rise while having a 0.66 rating in the previously mentioned match against Recon 5.

ImPerium are now:

  • United States Richie "sherps" Sherpa
  • United States Johnny "JDubs" Wu
  • United States Soham "valens" Chowdhury

ImPerium's next match will be in ESEA Premier Season 36 against RBG on February 9th.

Lol in what world do you drop 2 of your best players and keep valens when you feel like the roster is lacking firepower
